Library Rules and Regulations
  • Only 2 books will be issued for B.D.S. / M.D.S. students / faculty at any given time.
  • Books & other publications are issued, returned and renewed between 9-00 a.m. to 5-00 p.m. 
  • Borrowed text books should be returned within 7 days from the date of issue. From the 8th day a penalty of Rs. 10/- per day will be collected. 
  • The student/faculty is fully responsible for the books borrowed in his/her borrowers card. Absence and illness, exams, projects, etc. are not an acceptable excuse for exemption from paying an overdue charge/fine. 
  • Books will be issued against the borrowers’ card which is not transferable. For renewal, books are to be presented physically, 1st time renewal of book will be considered, if there is no reservation for the book. In case of an urgent demand for the same book, library staff can recall the book. 
  • If a book is lost, the borrower will be charged for replacing the book plus penalty if any. In case students lose the book/s issued to them they should report immediately in writing to the librarian to avoid accumulation of fine. They will be allowed a grace period of one week to confirm the loss in writing and to initiate the process of recovering the cost of the book/s. In case they produce the book/s after the grace period, they will have to pay the prescribed fine. The library service will also stand terminated until the lost book is replaced and / or fine paid. 
  • Students / Faculty should keep the library informed of any change of address during the period of their membership. The Librarian has the power to cancel the borrowers card and refuse admission to anyone who violates the rules and regulations of the library or indulges in any other type of misconduct. 
  • Students / Faculty should return all publications borrowed from the library before proceeding on any kind of long leave and when leaving the organization. 
  • Members should not sub lend the books, etc. borrowed from the library. 
  • Reference books, journals, back volume of journals etc. are not issued outside the library. 
  • Non-issued books & journals should be replaced in the respective racks following use. 
  • Study materials and personal books are allowed only in designated areas. Damage to books/periodicals like tearing pages, highlighting or writing on the pages will invite severe penal action. Students registration may be cancelled or as deemed fit by library committee, if a borrower indulges in book lifting. 
  • Library premises are under CCTV surveillance.

                           MONDAY TO FRIDAY       : 9:00AM TO 10:00PM
                           SATURDAY                          : 9:00AM TO   8:00PM

Admission to Library:
Students are allowed to library only on production of their authorized/valid Identity Cards
Issue counter:
Books will be issued on presentation of the library card. Students are instructed to check the books while borrowing and borrower will be responsible for any type of damage or mutilation noticed at the time of return.
Overdue Charges:
Book Lost 
Books will be issued to the students for 7 days only. In the last page slip is pasted and stamped mentioning the due date and the fine will be charged @ Rs.10 per day per book from the due date till the book is returned to library.
If the books are lost, then the borrower shall replace the books of the same edition or latest edition or pay double cost of the book after getting permission from the librarian.
Care of library borrower cards
Take special care to maintain the library borrower cards. Do not fold, alter entries made on the cards, members are responsible for the entire set of library borrower card issued to them.
Loss of cards
Loss of borrower card should be reported to the librarian in writing. After checking the borrowing register they will be issued a fresh replacement card on a payment of Rs.50/- per card.
No due Certificate
Each student shall obtain No dues certificate from the library after returning all the books issued, surrendering the borrower’s cards and after paying outstanding dues, if any.
Care of Library Books
Students are require to handle the books/ Journal very carefully; marking with pencil , writing or highlighting , tearing the pages or mutilating the same in any other way will be viewed very seriously. In such case reader shall be held responsible unless these are brought to the notice of the library staff at the time of issue.
Journal Section
In these section journals, general magazines and news letter are available. They are arranged department wise. The latest issues are displayed on display rack and other previous issues are arranged in the drawer. Bound volumes of periodicals are arranged in rack department wise and only for reference within the library.
